District Track Results

The District track meet was held on May 5 at
Fair Grove with the following results:

Boys
4x800 Meter Relay finished 2nd place--Jon Mansker, Ryan Nichols, Jake Kinsman, and David Kinsman
3200 Meter--David Kinsman finished 4th place

Girls
4x800 Meter Relay finished 2nd place--Kendra Crewse, MacKenzie Morrison, Shalyn Barton, and Lexi McNiel
1600 Meters--Lexi McNiel finished 1st place
800 Meters---Kendra Crewse finished 3rd place
300 Meter Hurdles--Yazzmin McCain finished 4th place
3200 Meters- Lexi McNiel finished 1st place and Shalyn Barton finished 3rd
Long Jump--Kendra Crewse finished 4th place

All of the above runners qualified for the Sectional Track Meeting at Fair Grove on May 12.

Girls Cross Country 3rd at State

Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country Team.
They capped a great season with a team effort at state.
Lexi McNiel, Shalyn Barton, and Kathryn Kidd earned All-State honors finishing 14th, 19th, and 22nd, respectively at the state meet in Jefferson City on November 5. Mackenzie Morrison 55th, Kendra Crews 85th, Katie Roy 125th, and Becca Baker 159th rounded out the team.

Boys Cross Country 10th at State

Keagan Adams led the way placing 19th and earning
All-State honors at the state meet in Jefferson City on November 5. Keagan was followed by David Kinsman 46th, Jalen Supancic 69th, Jacob Kinsman 100th,
Jon Mansker 136th, Dustin Richardson 157th,
and Ryan Nichols 158th. Great effort and congratulations.

Dent-Phelps Champions

The 7th grade boys won 1st place at the
Dent-Phelps Tournament on November 4
by the score of 46- 34.

Congratulations to the 8th grade boy's basketball team on winning 3rd place in the Frisco League Tournament! They beat Dixon (36-31), lost Iberia (30-43) in the semi-finals, and caged Stoutland (42-22).

Plato Invitational
The varsity girls took 1st place in the meet and were led by Lexi McNiel who set a new school record of 19minutes and 39 seconds. This broke the old record held by Cecilia Sponsel.

The varsity boys took second in the meet behind Mountain Grove. David Kinsman set the pace for the race with a 1st place finish.

The middle school girls and 5th and 6th grade boys showed their dominance by taking 1st in the meet.

Strafford Meet
The varsity boys finished 9th out of 14 teams. Plato was paced by Keagan Adams who finished 35th.

The varsity girls finished 2nd out of 8 teams. Lexi McNiel set the pace with a 1st place finish.
The middle school girls finished 2nd out of 3 teams with Hannah Breedlove finishing in 8th place.

Willow Springs Meet
The varsity boys took 6th place.  The team was led by David Kinsman who finished  in 2nd place.  Other runners were Jake Kinsman 25th, Jon Mansker 35th, Ryan Nichols 45th, and Dustin Richardson 70th place.

The varsity girls took 1st place in the meet. Plato dominated the other racers with Lexi McNiel, Shalyn Barton, MacKenzie Morrison, and Kendra Crews finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th, respectively. Becca Baker and Katie Roy rounded out the strong effort, placing 23rd and 30th, respectively.
